Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels has instituted Surrendra Paul Memorial Gold Medal Award for the most outstanding Final Year student of the Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Apeejay School has instituted Surrendra Paul Scholarship Award for their AISSCE topper in Science Stream, Anand Paul Scholarship Award for the topper in Humanities Stream, Jit Paul Scholarship Award to the topper in Commerce Stream. Apeejay School also recognises its students annually for excellence in social service and excellence in contribution to the School’s “Each One Teach One” programme.

Awards such as The Surrendra Paul Award to the Best Student at IIM Ahmedabad and Surrendra Paul Memorial Chair in the area of Information Systems have been instituted since 1991-92 as a mark of our commitment to education.

In continuance with our emphasis on education and forward thinking, We have instituted the ´Apeejay Surrendra Chair in Family Business and Entrepreneurship´ at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.The main objectives of the Apeejay Surrendra Chair at IIMB are to create cutting–edge management development program for executives of family–run businesses, nurture thought leadership in strategic issues such as takeovers, create models of successful entrepreneurship, and provide a platform for scholars to analyse industry–based activities and study the evolution of family businesses. The program encompasses all areas relevant to family businesses, such as forecasting future trends and challenges of family businesses, developing corporate governance and social entrepreneurship in sync with contemporary practices, build entrepreneurial capacities in young scions of business empires and most importantly, understanding the importance of succession planning.
