Mr. Darryl Bloud, Chief Executive Officer, Apeejay Schools
Mr. Darryl Bloud started his career as a faculty in English & Geography with Frank Anthony Public School, Calcutta and later with St. James’ School, Calcutta. He has completed his Bachelor & Master in Arts (in English) and Bachelor in Education from University of Calcutta.
He became a Principal at a young age of 35 yrs with The Park English School, Calcutta and later with St. James’ School – Boys, Calcutta.
He moved abroad to Dubai, UAE and joined the GEMS Education Group in 2000 and worked with them for 23 years in various capacities like Principal with GEMS Modern Academy Dubai; Vice President Schools with GEMS Education; Executive Principal & Vice President with GEMS Heritage Indian School, Dubai and Vice President, GEMS for Life with GEMS Education, Dubai.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bloud has not only been an advocate for academic excellence but has also championed holistic education, emphasizing the importance of character development and fostering a spirit of curiosity and innovation among students. He has been a recipient of various awards in India & abroad for his outstanding performance and remarkable achievements in the field of education.
Ms. Shikha Mukherjee, CSR Advisor
Shikha Mukherjee is Advisor, Corporate Social Responsibility and directly oversees the Anand Paul Education Support Programme in Kolkata for under privileged children and Apeejay Tea’s CSR and Sustainability programmes. The prestigious The Paul Foundation scholarships programme for academic excellence was started by her. She completed her Master of Arts from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1977 and joined The Times of India Group in 1978. She headed the launch of The Times of India edition in Kolkata and remained Political Editor of The Times of India till 2001. By virtue of her illustrious academic background, professional expertise and commitment to development issues, Shikha has taken the Anand Paul Education Support Programme in Kolkata, for under privileged children and Apeejay Tea’s CSR and Sustainability programmes from strength to strength.
Mr. Bhuvan G.M, Professor & Principal, Apeejay Institute of Hospitality
Bhuvan.G.M. An alumnus of Christ College, Bangalore, Mr. Bhuvan is a Graduate in Hotel Management , Post Graduate in Tourism & Human Resources and also holds an M.Phil degree in Tourism . He has more than 19 years of experience in hospitality academics and administration. A member of various academic and industry fora, Mr. Bhuvan has also organized, participated in, and published several papers in National and International Seminars.He was part of the two member committee to formulate and develop Model Curriculum for 4 year BHM programme of AICTE,New Delhi. Also,he was a member of the NAAC peer team ,former Chairman of Adhoc Board of Studies,Bangalore University and presently member of Adhoc Board of Studies,University of Mumbai .He is the Past President of Rotary Club of New Bombay Hill Side,Navi Mumbai .A representative of GSE (Group Study Exchange) "Team India" to United Kingdom, sponsored by Rotary International, Mr. Bhuvan is passionate about Hospitality Research, Economics, Strategic Management, Cross Cultural Dynamics, and Management of Change .Mr Bhuvan has attended Professional Development Programmes(PDP) in Strategic Management and Strategic Leadership from Cornell University,Ithaca,New York,USA. He comes with the rich experience of heading the Hotel Management Degree Program at Christ college, Bangalore.
He was featured among the Top 100 most influential people in the Hospitality Industry 2013 by Hotelier India published in September 2013.
