As many as 74 schools in 17 tea estates spread across 50,000 acres provide education to 12142 children annually in Assam. Some of these schools have been jointly set up with the Government of Assam while most of them are administered by Apeejay Tea Estate's management.
Young and pre-school children are cared for under the Union Government Anganwadi Scheme and Creches created in the Apeejay Tea Estates. Mobile creches for women pluckers are functional during the plucking season.
