Detailed Responsibilities:
Assists Principal/Vice Principal in the preparation and development of curriculum, courses of study, teaching materials and methodology and methods of assessments.
Prepares and implements term wise, lesson plans in accordance with schemes of work and Education Board requirements and ensures completion of syllabus within the stipulated time frame.
Identifies and selects methods and instructional resources to meet the varying needs of the students.
Takes classes as per timetable and as per allotment of proxy classes to maintain parity with other teachers teaching the same subject and shares notes where necessary.
Conducts discussion session with the students after each chapter to ensure adequate comprehension and motivates them to perform well.
Assists students in case of difficulty in understanding any topic by referring additional books, illustrations or with the help of any additional audio/visual means as required.
Ensures arrangement of extra classes/ remedial classes for students who need extra support apart from regular classes.
Maintains discipline in class during lessons, monitors the attendance and attention of students and ensures participation of every student in class work, homework and coursework that are assigned to them.
Corrects all notebook / test copies within timelines to provide adequate feedback on the performance to the students concerned.
Provides oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students or groups of students whenever requested.
Reviews the progress of students on a regular basis and in the case of any behavioural or educational problems communicates these as appropriate to the Principal/Vice Principal as required for necessary action.
Participates in the arrangements for external tests and examinations as per schedule, within the school premises and supervises all internal examinations by invigilating and monitoring the use of any unfair means by the students.
Responsible for setting the question papers along with the answers for the concerned subjects for each examination.
Ensures all project work is submitted on time and appropriate feedback given on the same.
Maintains accurate and complete records of individual students' progress and development and discusses the same with their parents/ guardians during parent-teacher meetings.
Identifies and encourages students based on their talent for any extra-curricular activities or inter school competitions.
Coordinates student activities during the annual function preparation while ensuring minimum disruptions in regular classes.

1) Ensuring Safe and efficient performance of the vessels owned/managed by ASL through the respective Technical Superintendents and maintaining Technical Standards

Data Management

Account Management:
